Req has developed a unique spray paint style over the last 30 years that he refers to as Spraypaint Realism. It was developed for portraiture and figurative subjects.
The iconic mural on the Prince Albert in Brighton is in his trademark style that is far from the usual graffiti / streetart that depend on hard graphic contrasts.
The style is more akin to Impressionism in that the painted subjects are often suggested but made realistic through lighting emulation.
The general emphasis is on making beautiful murals to uplift public and private spaces.
